Couples & Relational Therapy Ottawa

When you know the pattern, but still find yourselves in it.

You may understand your patterns. You may know your attachment style. You may even recognize the argument while you're having it.

And still, something happens between you.

You reach harder. They pull away. You defend yourself instead of listening. You assume what the other person means before they've finished saying it.

Insight matters. But relationships have a way of showing us what we haven't quite worked through yet.

Therapist in office for couples therapy Ottawa

I’m Marie-Pierre Castonguay, MSW, RSW, SEP, a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist. Most clients simply call me Marie.

I’m naturally curious about people and relationships. I value warmth, honesty and humour, and I bring those parts of myself into my work. I care deeply about understanding people while also being willing to ask the questions that invite us to look at things from new perspective.

Sometimes the work is understanding. Sometimes it's doing something differently. And sometimes it's making more room for what is already there.
